Jason spent 20 years on British national newspapers, including six years as a business editor. In 2006 he became director of media relations for Barclays plc before moving into consultancy, firstly at Fishburn Hedges, then as a founding partner of Newgate Communications and now as an independent advisor. He specialises in special situations and crisis communications, and also has provided media and message training as well as board level consultancy. Among the organisations he has advised are Just Eat, Centamin, Index Ventures, Meatless Farm, Simba Sleep, Waterfall Asset Management, BT, Glencore, HM Treasury, AXA, Zurich, Barclays, Nestle, PwC, Investec, Sidewalk Labs and campaigns for 10,000 Black Interns and SME Alliance. Jason has also lectured on crisis communications at Harvard University and King’s College, University of London.
